Many of our volunteers are interested in using our PowerPoint materials in Good News Clubs, but not all are familiar with PowerPoint software. Here are several links to help with learning Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, but if you happen to have PowerPoint 2010, the information should remain useful, although some the details may be different.

Below are several downloadable forms (in PDF format) volunteers at Good News Clubs are required to fill out at various times. We have collected them in one place to help speed the processing of new volunteers.

Complete Volunteer Application (revised 6/24/11)

This required form must be completed by all volunteers when joining CEF, or returning to CEF after an absence of one year or longer. It includes our Statement of Faith, Child Protection Policy, and Background Check Authorization. It must be witnessed by a GNC Team Leader, CEF Staff Member, or Pastor. 

Annual Update Form

This required form must be completed at the beginning of each school year by all volunteers who where active the previous year. It simply states that you still agree with CEF's Child Protection Policy and Statement of Faith. Return this form to your GNC Team Leader.

Confidential Screening Form

This required form must be completed by all volunteers who have remained active with CEF for five years. It updates their Background Screening Form and gives permission for a background check to be run. It must be witnessed by a GNC Team Leader, CEF Staff Member, or Pastor.

Volusia County Schools require a separate background check with fingerprints which will cost $87.75. Depending on the club you work in the church who sponsors that club may pay that fee. They have outsourced this process to Safe Systems; below is a link to the online application and fee payment process.

Jessica Lunsford Act (JLA) Background Check Application

Simply follow the instructions given to complete your screening. When asked for a JLA number, simply type Good News Club in the search box.
